Dr. Madiha Ijaz is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow under the supervision of Prof. Konstantinos Makris at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), bringing 15 years of dedicated experience across industry and academics since 2011. Her current postdoctoral research investigates occupational BTEX exposure and its associated health risks among oil and gas industry workers. This builds directly upon her PhD in Environmental Sciences specializing in occupational health and safety, where her foundational research focused on evaluating health hazards and exposure risks within the mining and quarrying industries. She has authored 13 high-impact research papers and actively translates her scientific findings into community impact through industrial safety manuals and underground miner training programs.
