A gas chromatography coupled to a mass spectrometry machine is available in our Unit premises (Agilent Ntuvo 9000 GC-MS).


Access to other equipment such as ion chromatograph (IC), UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, atomic absorption spectrophotometer, GC/FID, and HPLC/UV is available at collaborators’ laboratories on campus.

Long term storage facilities for human biological samples is achieved with an ultra-low temperature freezer that operates between -50 and -86 °C and 668 liters storage capacity (Sanyo, MDF-U7386S), and two refrigerators that operates between 4 to -20 °C (Liebherr Premium and Samsung). Short-term storage of samples at lower temperatures is attained using ice chests during field/site collection and transportation.
